Our family built Hotel Il Maglio in 1991 after years (since 1976) spent by our parents gaining experience in their countries of origin. From the beginning, we wondered how we could continuously improve our business, considering it a small living cell of Mother Earth. We never stood still; in 1998, we expanded from 25 to 39 rooms, bringing the restaurant to its current capacity of 220 seats. Three conference rooms. We have always believed that it is necessary to develop a culture of responsibility, promoting different ways of producing, consuming, and using resources in a more modest, ecological, and ethical lifestyle.
In 2012, we inaugurated a beautiful park surrounding the hotel and chose to be ‘Green Inside’: we use energy produced from TUV Sud certified renewable sources, check the efficiency of our appliances and systems through a custom energy analysis. We choose to use 100% electric ecological vehicles for transportation, and in 2013, we implemented a solar panel project to produce sanitary hot water for showers. We strive to manage our hotel with the utmost loyalty to our guests, and our business is our life. We offer products like the genuine breakfast we prepare for our family, homemade doughnuts and tarts, quality products where quantity and appearances are not our principles, it’s hard to be nonconformist in this society.
